Starting in 2005, Pleiades Publishing, Inc., the publisher of the English version of the Journal, will conclude copyright transfer agreements with the authors of papers accepted for publication.

To simplify your interaction with the editorial board, please fill in two copies of the copyright transfer agreement and submit them together with the manuscript. This is an adhesion agreement.

Instructions to Authors Preparing Manuscripts for the Petroleomics (Petroleomika) Journal

The Editorial Board of the Journal respectfully reminds authors that manuscripts submitted for publishing should rigidly conform to the following rules.

  1. A manuscript should be submitted printed double spaced on white paper in 12-point type (Courier New or Times New Roman font). The pages should be numbered throughout including the text, tables, references, and figure captions. Sheets containing figures may be unnumbered.
  2. The heading should follow the pattern as given below

Title
List of authors by initials and surname
List of affiliations and addresses of the authors
Received (date to be set by Editorial Board)
Then follows the abstract (single spaced). Avoid using abbreviations in the title and abstract.

  1. The paper should clearly and concisely describe the state of the art, disclose procedures used in the study, and present a discussion of the results. The title should comprehensively reflect the contents of the article. In the main body of the text, the following format is desirable using the relevant subheadings: Introduction, Experimental, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, References. On the other hand, reviews should contain following parts: Introduction, several thematic parts, Conclusions, References.
  2. In the materials, the use of SI units and notation for physical quantities is acknowledged. In naming chemical compounds, it is desirable that the IUPAC nomenclature be used.
  3. Numerical data should be tabulated. The tables may be either included in the text or given on separate sheets.
  4. The cited literature should be compiled on a separate sheet under the heading REFERENCES at the end of the paper. All references should be given in their original languages, except those in Japanese, Chinese, or other languages using a non-Roman alphabet (which should be transliterated), and numbered consecutively in the order of their appearance in the text. The compiling of two or more references under the same number or assigning different numbers to one work are not allowed.

The following are citation examples.

Books: I.A. Wiehe Process Chemistry of Petroleum Macromolecules. edition (if not first) (CRC Press, USA, 2008). If there are more than four authors, all authors are cited.

Journals: J. M. Lehn. Pure Appl. Chem. 49, 839 (1977). The title of articles in journals should not be given.

Patents and Inventor’s Certificates: US Patent No. 7,430,020;

For each submitted paper, the authors are kindly requested to specify the first name, patronymic, and surname; address; telephone (with city codes) and fax numbers; and e-mail of the author to whom inquiries about the paper should be addressed.

The authors will receive reprints of their article in Russian. The English version (in an electronic (*.pdf) form) may be requested.
